There are so many water purifiers available in the market that we often get confused while choosing the best. Currently, the best ones in the market are Alkaline water purifier and R.O. water purifier. So in this article, we’ll compare both of these and choose the best one for you.

Water is the essence of our life as it transports oxygen and nutrients throughout our body, and we all know that. What we do know is which water is best for us.

Selecting between Alkaline water and R.O. water is a real battle for many consumers.

The first and the most important thing you should know about water is that not all water are the same.

Previously the tap water in its original state used to be pure, clean, hydrating, and good for your health, but with the increasing pollution, the water is now filled with harmful toxins.

And one can only remove these toxins from the water using a good and effective water purifier. Reserve Osmosis System, or as we all know it as the R.O. water purifier, has been the first choice for many families, but now the Alkaline water purifier is giving it a tough competition.

Let’s check out the main difference between both of these water purifiers and see which one is the best.

Eliminating Toxins:

Even though the R.O. purifier eliminates every element from the water to a tiny micron size of 0.0001 does not mean that it generates healthy water. During the purification process, the R.O. purifier kills the toxic minerals and removes the heavy metals from the water, but during the process, it also strips away the necessary mineral content. And that demineralized water is not safe for long-term human consumption.

Whereas Alkaline water generator takes precautionary measure and only kills bacteria that are harmful. Moreover, it a mineral water as it enhances the mineral content of drinking Alkaline water and adds electrolytes for better hydration. And that allows our body to absorb the minerals and hydrogen fast.

Wastage of Water:

Reserve Osmosis System wastes a lot of water while purifying it. The ratio of generated water and wastewater is 20:80. R.O water purifier uses membrane technology to filter out the dissolved solids and impurities. The more water the R.O pushes through its system, the more back pressure is created, which leads to wastage of water.

One of the biggest challenges of our generation is to waste as little water as we can. And the Alkaline water purifier designers understand that & so these purifier generates very less water. An alkaline water purifier by Fujiiryoki generates more Alkaline water with less wastewater. The ratio of generated water and wastewater is 19:1, which is the best in industry.

Acidic Content:

When the R.O water purifier removes all the natural minerals from the water, it has an adverse effect on the pH level of the water, making it more acidic. The pH level of the Reserve Osmosis water has a pH level of around 7–7.5.

And on the other hand, an Alkaline water ionizer neutralizes the acid and maintains a healthy pH balance in the water. For the water to maintain its pH level, it needs to have Alkaline minerals. The water with a pH level of 6.5–8.5 is the ideal pH level for drinking alkaline water.

In conclusion, I would say that an Alkaline water ionizer is your best option given the current water crisis.
