Want to look neat and clean and stay healthy too? Here in this post are some basic hygiene routines that you need to fuse into your life. Read them out, and most importantly, follow them!

Healthy & Hygiene are two significant determinants for living a healthy life and staying protected against diseases. For keeping health intact, you need to maintain good personal hygiene.

Poor hygiene habits are going to do no good to your body — it opens doors to mild to severe ailments, so embracing a proper hygiene routine in your everyday life is a must-must.

However, so many men do not pay much attention to cleanliness and maintaining good personal hygiene — which needs to be developed as a good practice sooner or later in life, and the earlier, the better.

For men who are already following good personal hygiene, here’s a guide that you can cross-check and make some changes and for the ones who don’t follow any, start today itself!

A Personal Hygiene Guide for Men!

  • Oral Hygiene
  • Face Hygiene
  • Beard Hygiene
  • Body Hygiene
  • Hair Hygiene
  • Intimate Hygiene

Oral Hygiene

Oral hygiene is all about taking care of your mouth — be it brushing, flossing or whitening. Bacteria can make their way to your body through the mouth, so you must brush and floss your teeth twice a day. Make brushing and flossing a part of your daily routine and keep bad breath away. Besides, do not fail to make a habit of scrubbing your tongue every day. Do not refrain from maintaining good oral hygiene.

Face Hygiene

Washing your face twice a day — preferably once in the morning and once in the night is a highly essential part of basic men’s hygiene routine. By washing your face, you keep your skin oil-free and safe from pore-clogging bacteria. For men with oily skin, you must use a Volcanic Face Wash twice a day to fight acne and to get oil-free & brightened skin. After washing, moisturise and hydrate your face with a men’s face cream.

Beard Hygiene

Bearded men — this one is for you. Trimming and cleaning your beard regularly is an essential part of beard hygiene and also for keeping your facial hair cleaner, softer and bacteria-free. Use a beard wash 2–3 times a week, and condition your beard every day with beard oil to keep softness intact. I personally use The Men’s Lab Beard Wash and Beard Oil for a healthy and shiny beard. Plus, both products are vegan, natural, and paraben & SLS free!

Body Hygiene

Many times we feel lazy to take a shower, don’t we? However, you’ve to shower every day to keep germs, bacteria, skin infections and unpleasant odours at bay. Showering is much essential, especially in the summertime. You can use natural bar soap or body wash for bathing. I have been using Tea trees & Eucalyptus Oil bar soap for healthy skin and staying away from germs and infections — you should give this soap a try, worth it for sure!

Hair Hygiene

If you feel your hair lack hydration plus are dull and damaged, then it’s a sign to make some changes in your hair hygiene routine. Firstly, you have to wash your hair twice a week at least. And, if you’re in a higher heat zone, then wash it more than twice a week. For frizzy, dry and damaged hair, oil your hair before shower and use Keratin-infused hair shampoo & conditioner. Keratin helps give complete shine, hydration and softness to your hair and reduces hair fall and frizziness.

Intimate Hygiene

Last but not least, in men’s hygiene checklist is maintaining good intimate hygiene. Like your beard needs trimming, your pubic hair also needs the same. Also, you have to invest in a good intimate wash and make sure to use it every day. Besides, never use a soap or body wash in your private region, as they can be harsh on your skin. You can use the Aloe-vera based Intimate Wash to keep your private area clean, dry, odour & itching free and away from infections.

And, that’s how you maintain good personal hygiene in every aspect.

Take care of yourself and follow proper hygiene because, after all, it’s your body, and it’s essential!
